Jardin Tulum-
Los Angeles, California

This east Los Angeles property blends a minimalist Mediterranean aesthetic in the front yard, with a Tulum-inspired backyard.  A flagstone pool deck with teak loungers, a shaded bar counter, and a dining space within the garden form the social heart of the yard, while meandering flagstone pathways set in lawn connect these areas with a soft, organic flow.

A central lawn is surrounded by lush tropical gardens; kentia palms, giant birds of paradise, citrus, and bamboo introduce height, texture, privacy, and tropical feels. In the front yard, a Mediterranean-inspired palette of agaves, olives, rosemary, and iris frames the home, and is further anchored by a farmhouse-style X-fence. Across the property, decomposed granite gardens, light earth tone accents, warm wood details, and strategic lighting ensure a cohesive, low-maintenance landscape that marries the front and back and evokes a calm, modern, resort feel.
